Drake Dropper Calls was created in 2010 by avid duck hunter Phil Binkley. At a young age Phil was introduced to hunting and fell in love with the outdoors. When he was 13 he was taken on his first duck hunt by his uncle and cousin in southern Wisconsin at Theresa Marsh. After that hunt he was hooked. He continued his growth as a hunter and found his love for the outdoors growing with every trip. It in the last 5 years his love for waterfowl has taken his past time and turned it into a lifestyle. During his transformation into a duck hunter, he was looking for a unique custom call and found that a lot of the calls he liked were to his opinion out of his price range. He thought, why spend that much money on one call when there are so many other expenses during the season? Throughout the season his mind went back to those high priced calls. After a lot of thought he came to the conclusion that he could try and make his own call. Over the next year and a half of doing research and teaching himself to turn wood on a lathe, the concept for Drake Droppers was born. We are a young company and are excited for what the future will bring us. We feel that it is possible to give the consumer a quality call that will not break the bank. We want to provide our fellow hunters with a quality call that will work well in the field and looks good doing it. We do not mass produce our calls. Each one is hand turned and hand finished in a multiple step process. This will insure that our calls will take the abuse that duck hunters put their equipment through.
